Many supermarkets have their own product brands. You can come with your trolley directly to your car nad many supermarkets offer you presents if you spend much Money in their shops.
I thing that people like supermarkets, because thay can find everthing they need there. Supermarket are big shops whit mostly sell food and standard toilet items. There are situated in cities and towns and some of them have parkins spaces.
In the past, people did the shopping in the High Street. Now they go to shopping centres. Shopping centre is a complex of smaller shops used by many companies whitch rent departments ans sell different products.
Small shops are more expensive but they have also advantages: if you live alone, you do not need so nuch food, or if you forget to buy something, you just go to your local shop nad get it. But few pople go to local shops, so many must close down.
Ther are also outdoor markets with many stalls selling fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, but also cheap or second-hand goods. Usually they start selling early nad finish in the afternoon.
Department stores are large buildings usually several storey high. There are also cafer, snack bars and restaurants where the peole can relax when they are tired of shopping. There ve pay at tah cash, credit cart.
A shopping mal lis the same as a shopping centre but enclosed (indoor) and much larger with the biggest ones on the edges of towns.
