NY is the largest city in the USA.More than 7 milion people live there. NY has very tall buildings like the World Trade Center and the Empire Stade Building. NY is the biggest portam in the world. Thousands of ships come to port on NY each year. It has Macy´s, are of the biggest stores in the world. NY also has the largest lady in the World - The Statue of Liberty.



NY is very cosmopolitan city. People from many countries came to live here. Three-quaters of the people of NY city belong to each of the five groups, the blacks ,the jews, the italians, the puerto ricans or the irish.
The other quater comes from other countries of the world. NY city is the centre of culture in the United States.


It has finest museum and best art galleries in the country. If
you want to see a play, there are many theatres you can go to on Broadway is
the centre of theatre life in the United States. People call NY city the Big
Apple.Jazz musican in the 1920´s gave NY this name.Today NY is still there
USA centre of art and buisness.
