Living

There are many ways how and where to live, everybody can choose the best for him, that what he likes, needs or can afford. I live in small town of Snina. It's situated in the east of Slovakia in the territory of Snina`s region near the Vihorlat mountain range. It's really wonderful nature here. People can look for mushrooms here, go jogging, go for some trips or they can relax here. I live in a 3-room flat on the 2th floor of an 8-storey block of flats with my family.

I like living in my hometown, it's neither too big nor too small, it's something in between. What I like about my town is that you can cross the whole town in about half an hour going by foot. It means that you can go by food nearly everywhere. Other thing I suppose to be very positive on living in Snina is, that you always meet friends in the streets. Going for a walk with your dog can be a real social event by meeting class-mates, teachers, friends, etc. But there are also some reasons why I sometimes hate living in this town. One of them is for example that from time to time, you are sometimes bored with your free time, because for example you want to see some new places and people.
I like my flat, because is cosy and it's all in my favourite colours. ...

There are many ways how and where to live. Everybody can choose the place, where he would like to live. Living in a town brings to everybody a lot of advantages. In a town you have a lot of sport, cultural, education opportunities ect. When young people want to start their career, they have more opportunities to get more education and knowledge here as in a village. They have also a bigger chance to find a job in the town. I don't want to say that everybody will find there his dream job, but if somebody wants to work, he will find a job. A big advantage of a town is a higher standard of health service, including hospitals and first aid stations. The other advantages are much more different shops and large shopping centres, which offer a wide variety of cheaper goods under one roof. There are a large number of such establishments in town, offering their services not just during the day and late into the night, but even overnight.

The most serious problem of a town is a high level of criminality. A big town is a home for every kind of a criminal element, beginning with pickpockets and ending with murderers and drug dealers particularly. The negative aspects of living in a town are pollution, traffic jams, noise etc. There are so many buildings that there is no piece of greenery. In the towns there are factories and many cars, which pollute the environment.

The country can be definitely proud of healthier environment. It isn't so polluted as in towns. There is also less traffic which means there is a fresh and clean air. There is also less stress. In the country you can take long walks in a forest, you can pick up mushrooms and you can grow your own vegetables. I suppose that any rural man would say that the country life is boring.

Living in the country is more difficult than in the town. In the country there are fewer places for entertainment and education than in the town. The inhabitants have to commute to the nearest city, which is sometimes too far and the traffic infrequently and too expensive. The biggest disadvantage of a village is lack of job opportunities, whose result is a necessity of everyday travelling to work to towns, what can be sometimes very frustrating and expensive. If you have a job in a village you surely don't become so much money as in the town for the same work. Very big problem is that there are any hospitals and if people are sick, they have always to travel to a town. In the country there aren't any secondary schools so the children have to travel to a town too.

My ideal housing is (may be) somewhere in the town in a flat of a block of flats where I can rest and relax. It doesn't have to be some 3-room flat, it can be a 2-room flat with a TV, radio, computer and other necessary furnishing. It has to be a place where I really can rest, relax and do on my own.
There are many ways how and where to live, everybody can choose the best for him. But in these times is hard to realise it.
