Life in the Czech rep. 50 years ago

I did an interview with my grandmother. She was born in 1937 and so I could spoke with her about life fifty years ago...
The life wasn't easy 50 years ago in the Czech Republic. It was 4 years after Second world war and in the Czech republic governed "Eduard Beneš". But after next 4 years the communist faction had governed and for many people began very bad times...
People couldn't travel to another countries, couldn't say what they want to say and they had to go to brigades, but mainly, they had to go to "pioneer" and to Association of the Czech socialistic young. If somebody disapproved to this ministry, he had a trouble. People had to work very hard in the hard industry (factories, metallurgical engineering). They earned about 700 crowns, but the things was cheap too. All this things broke the pass demonstrates and at the end in the year 1989 the communist faction capitulate and Czech republic became democratic state.
My grandmother lived in Prague and worked in the health service. She used to do all the things, which I describe before. She was very frightened from this times.
I think life in this times used to be very bad, well nowadays we can go to the foreign countries and do what we want to do.
I haven't got any experience from this times, because I didn't live in it and so I wrote only information, which I heard from my grandmother.
