Osteopathy is a system of movenments which correct problems with the bones and muscles in the right place.

One of the reason for the popularity of alternative medicine is that most alternative therapists give a patient more time then conventional doctors. In moste European countries doctors see a new patient every ten or twenty minutes. Many symptoms are due to overwork or stress and an important part of a teatment is for patients to talk about their problems. Doctors themselves are tired and have very high stress levels. Both doctors and patients would benefit from more time for having consultation.

Another type of medicine tries to prevent illness before it stars. People wont´t become ill it they make their body strong and healthy eating healthy food, exercising regularly and getting a lot of relaxation. The body needs to rest and repir itself.

Medical doctors are called doctor in Britain, however, surgeons and dentists are called Mr, Ms, Miss or Mrs followed by their family name. In the US, all of them are called doctor. General practioners treat people in a particular local area and are trained in general medicine and often work as members of a group practise. They are also known as faily doctors.
