There is something irrational about fashion.What is worn now appear
elegant and nice and fashion of a few years ago seem to us strange,funny
or horrid.Fashion is unpredictable.It develops in small changes,but every
few years the great creative designers,who make fashion,change style
completely.

At first these things may appear as too extravagant or even
in bad tastes,but soon everybody get used to it and begin enjoy new style.
This circulation is repeated regularly.The leading designers of fashion
work and live in Paris,London,New York and Rome.Every year they produced
clothes with other cuts and made of other materials.



I'm not interesting in fashion,but I like to wear something simple,
comfortable and good looking.In short I like sports clothes.I always buy
ready made clothes because it is cheaper and simpler.
There are two proverbs,Czech "Clothes make the man" and English "Manners
make the man".I think,that the second is best,because Manners can't be
bought unlike clothes.If somebody buy expensive clothes,it don't mean that
he or she become good man.Of course,you can't dress casually on festive
occasion.


History of fashion is long.In past it depends on place where you live,
not when you live,because there were customs which didn't be influence for
many years.Nowadays you can go to end of the earth and everything is the
same.A hundred year ago the distinction between men and women could be see
half a mile off.Today young couple walking beside you and it hard to say
which is which.


Modern women's fashions began to develop around 1350 because
of start Renaissance period.For almost a thousand years before a woman's
body,her hair and much of her face were concealed.Girl wore the same
clothes as the older women.Then suddenly all this changes and every effort
was made to make woman as attractive as possible by emphasizing her shape.
And this development hasn't stopped yet.At the beginning of 16th century
the clothes of Englishman,Frenchman or German were different.


But in second half of 16th century leading country was Spain.Spanish fashion began to prevail. A century later France became a main country of fashion.Paris was a center of fashion and remained until the present day.

All civilized men tried to dress like people at court of Louis XIV.and all
fashionable women adopted French fashion.In 18th century France began to
lose influence in men's fashion.The English aristocrats made their clothes
plainer,comfortable and more practical because they live in the country.
They invented "sports clothes".


The Englishmen was copied these clothes all over the Europe.Till now women's clothes is basically in origin French and men's clothes in origin English.Fine clothes and changing style were for many years privilege of the upper classes.It was difficult for other classes to know what the latest fashion was like.Later spreading of the latest fashion made mass-media possible.
