Animal farm: Characteristic of Napoleon
DID HE CHANGE (DURING A RERIOD OF TIME)?
Napoleon was the one from the most interesting personalities in the book. During reading of the Animal farm we could see his change from quiet but friendly pig to cruel and high-principled dictator.
At the beginning of the book he worked in group, he tolerate all the animals and he wanted to fight against the only enemy - a man. Later we could see that he wanted something more.
He wanted to be the only leader. He wanted to be an autocrat.
He started to hate Snowball and he tryed to destroy him.
HOW DID HE LOOK LIKE?
Napoleon was a large , rather fierce-looking Berkshire boar, the only Berkshire on the farm, not much of a talker, but with a reputation for etting his own way. He looked like good domestic piglet.
He lived on Manor farm with others.
WHAT WERE HIS QUALITIES?
Napoleon took his chance and he started to prepare for a revolution. He also made complete thought system called animalism. He become literate („Brainworker“), so he started to govern the farm.
I give a true picture of Napoleon – HE WAS TACTIC and he could wait for the best moment to strike.
He could outwit others and he discommend Snowball to get better reputation and be a leader.
WHAT WERE HIS NEGATIVES?
He was very ruthless jealous to Snowball and unbendable – too much. Then he rob nine puppies and changed all seven commandments for his profit. All things they deplored he did repeatedly because it was comfortable for him. After „case of windmill“ he expel Snowball from a farm.
He started tyrannize all the animals. He ordered hens to lay eggs for a man he started to walk on two legs and finally he united with all neighboured farmers. He forced all the animals to confess to things they did not do. Napoleon was absolute limitless leader and he prove to persuade Squealer to be his henchman.
HOW DID HE BEHAVE TO OTHERS?
At the beginning he was kind to every animal, he revered Old Major and he helped to make seven commandments. He could work shoulder to shoulder with Snowball.
Later he wanted to command others and be the only leader on the farm. He was ruthless, he lied to all the animals and steer them. He started tyrannize all the animals. He ordered hens to lay eggs for a man and when they protested he executed them.
