FAMILY, HOME, RELATIVES
My name is Katarína Strmeňová, I am 18 years old and I am one of two children. I have one sister, who is younger than me. My sister is 13 years old and she studies at basic basketball school in Handlová. The only thing I do not like about her is that she steals my clothes. Then I have got almost nothing to wear. It is a big disadvantage to have as big sister as you are. But I like her nevertheless, because I sometimes wear her clothes too. So we live in harmony. I wear her clothes and she wears mine. We are friends and sisters as well.
So what does family mean for me? I think, family is very important for everyone’s life. It gives you home, piece and ground for your future life. But many people do not appreciate their families and they forget on everything for what can they thank to their families. My family creates home for me – the place, where I can always came back and where I have got my roots. Even if I sometimes lived somewhere else, I would always remember my room and my flat where I lived a big part of my life.
I have got quite large family, because my grandfather becames out of seven children and my grandmother becomes out of four children. That is the largest branch of my family. This part become of France and Rumania, because my grandfather is born in France and my grandmother is born in Rumania. But they came to the Slovakia and they married here. His or her birthplace I never visit. Now they live in a big house in Handlová. I visit them minimal twice a week. I always feel very good and relaxed there because I like them. My grandparents have two children – my uncle Štefan and my mother Katarína. My uncle is married with my aunt Adriana and they have one children, my cousine Romanka. Of course I like my family.
All members of my family belong to my life and I am happy that I have got so big family. You can choose a friends, but you can not choose your family. But I would not change it
