First I'd like to explain, what I understand under the word massmedia. Under the word massmedia I understand all anglictina/slovakia-the-people/" class="wiki-link" title="Viac o: the people">the people and organizations that provide information news for the public. These are especially television, radio and newspaper.
In the USA, there are 4 quality dailies: The Times, The Gradian, The Financial Times and The daily telegraph, where you can find a lot of national and international news about art, fashion, sport, business and articles. The Times is the most famous.
Then there are papers with a very high circulation, such as The daily mirror and The Sun -which are popular papers and tabloids. The largest daily newspapers in the USA are: The New York Time, The Wall street journal, The Washington post etc. In the USA are over 11 000 magazines. They cover all topics from art and architecture to sports and computers, for example: geografia/national-geographic/" class="wiki-link" title="Viac o: national geographic">National geographic, Vogue, Times, Reader's digest.
In Britain radio and television broadcasting is provided by the state-owned BBC. (British broadcasting corporations). Besides BBC there are also other radio and TV stations. There are also plenty and different types of radio and TV stations in the USA. Smaller cities and areas have one or two local TV stations and larges cities ten or more. In L. A. for example there are 18 different local TV stations.
In Slovakia there are 2 quality dailies: Sme and Pravda. Then there are other quality newspapers: Národná obroda, Hospodárske noviny and Korzár, where you can find national and international news about fashion, business, sport, art etc. Then there are tabloids, too. For example: Nový čas, Plus 7 dní, Eva, Emma, Markíza etc.
There you can find informations about everything, for example: sport, hollywood stars. In Slovakia there are lots of magazines: Slovenka, Život, Live, Šarm etc. There are informations about sports, people, health, art and computers. There are different types of radio and TV stations in the Slovakia. The main TV stations are STV, Markíza and JOJ.
Cities and districts have local TV and radio stations. The most modern form of communication is internet. Here you can find everything you want. Personally I like watching historical and action films. Sometimes I like watching sci-fi films too. My favourite films are for example The Beach, Blade, Romeo must die etc. My favourite quality daily is Sme. But personally I like reading magazines about science, cars and technique, for example PC Revue, Technické spektrum and so on.
