Books and films. What is better to watch films or to read books? It is a very relative question. However, I thing that reading books is much better. And why? There are many reasons, why it is so. The first reason is, that when you read a book you can imagine all characters, situations, country and a lot of things around. You can see it how you want to see it rather than someone else makes you to see it. Your imagination is not limited. And when you watch film, you have to look at it and it is all you can do, no imagination.
I think half of the characters is lost in film, because you never know what they think. The other reason is the fact, that when you read a book you always remember more than from a film. It is because of a good impresion made by book. Books are more interesting from all sides. And what is more, you can learn new words and you improve your vocabulary. The best of all is reading in any story/" class="wiki-link" title="Viac o: anglictina">anglictina/foreign-language/" class="wiki-link" title="Viac o: foreign language">foreign language. When we compare books and films like works of art, we can see, that time makes books more valuable and older and forgotten. I wanted to know opinions of people about this topic, so I made a poll in our classroom.
The result showed that 13 people out of 20 said, that they prefer reading books rather than watch films. The most of these persons belongs to the cleverer part of our classroom I think it is not a coincidance. The students who like films said, that films are better because they do not like "wasting" of time reading books and watching films is more comfortable for them. In conclusion, they are lazy and these arguments are not enough for changing my opinion. To sum up. books are read by intelligent people who are aware of many advantages of reading and they also know old famous sentence which sounds: A BOOK IS THE BEST FRIEND OF HUMAN BEING!
