Clothes have always been important for people. In ancient times mainly because they protected people against cold, frost of rain, then later with the development of society clothes became an important sing od people´s social status. They became more comfortable and where made from finer materials, their cut and desing became important too.
In orevious centuries women´s a nd men´s clothes were totally different and one could recogiye a person´s sex from a distance. Women wore long skirts, long-sleveeved dresses, long hair and even veils , so much of their body was concealed. Men´s clothes did not differ very much from today´s time – men wore trousers, shirts and jackets as they do now. Children´s clothes followed their parent´s patterns.

A woman´s sumer wardrobe consist of bright summer dresses of various cuts and designs, shorts and T-shirts, minishirts and swimming suits. For special ocasion women wear coctail dresses or long evening dresses, high-heeled shoes and jewelleries, usually golden or silver necklaces and chains, brooches, slip-on or hoop earrings.
Menś wardrobes are much simpler and more conservatice and not changing over the years as mucha s those of women. A man´s wardrobe consist of underwear, several pairs of socks, trousere and a pile of shirts, several suits, an anorak, a trench coat, a raincoat and a winter coat. Men also wear accessories in matching colours like shoes, boots, ties, gloves, hats or caps, belts and hankerschiefs. For special occasions men wear dark suits, a white shirts, shoes and tie or a bowtie and sometimes even a dinner jacket.
Dressmaking has become a big business these days. Fasion designers are world famous best earning fortune selling their desins all over the world.
