An american, romantic writer was born in 1809 in Boston. His parents died when he was very jung. He was adopted but he had problems with his adoptive father. He married 13 years old girl. In 1845 he wrote and published his the most famous poem The Raven. He wrote poetry, prose and drama. After his wife`s death, he felt in to a deep depression and he attempted at suicide and he started drink. In October 1849 he died in Baltimore.

I choose this poem for its unusual character. Heros of this poem are a raven-symbol of autor`s impossibility reconcile to a world where death always knocks down love, and a man, who is a story- teller. The raven sat on a bust of Pallas and mechanicaly answered NEVERMORE to each question. Nevermore means a feeling of horror from the end of human being. There is crop up next figure-Lenore in the poem. She is man`s ex-loverin. He loved her but she left him, so he feels a very strong sadness and he calls Lenore back-but the raven just comes.

I like poetry and I like poems, which are a little misty and we can explain them diferent. It was very hard to read this poem because it is write bookish language and sometimes is write obsolete language. But it has very beautiful verses and very amaizing rhymes. But there were some parts in The Raven too, which I had to read again and again, sometimes for a five times, till I understood, what there was going on. There were a lot of unknown words for me in the poem. But if I didn`t read The Raven I couldn`t quoth, that this stately, beguiling fancy of Poe thrilled me and filled me the feelings of astonishment and sour and they are great feelings.
